Boama-Africa has multiple geological processing and general mining project managers with 15+ years of international experience available.

In the past we have become involved on a professional level with all aspects, including governmental administration processes, operations or project management, processing, mining, dredging, geological exploration, and integrating security structures that are critical to running a successful mining operation internationally in a challenging environment.

This systematic approach with a support team of Chief Geologists, Process Specialists, Technicians, and a design and manufacturing support team aims to help our clients from the initial stage of metallurgical analyses and exploration through to the design of processing systems and successful civil construction as well as installation and commissioning of gold processing systems.

Basic concession evaluation and site review

Exploration: First phase

Boama-Africa’s standard exploration first phase is to focus on gathering geological and metallurgical information to provide the client with a basic report and exploration programme. The professional team will undertake an exploration programme to provide a better idea on a feasibility, mining plan and grade control to develop a mining plan. Such a programme entails a review of the geological concession’s characteristics, including an aeromagnetic survey, electromagnetic test results, Geochem reports, GPR analyses, and other geological exploration information.

It is critical that the client generates information at an early stage regarding the feasibility of their project. This means accurate, trustworthy data that indicates feasibility.

Second phase

This is dependent on the client’s budget and timeframe. Some clients have an aggressive approach and request full-time involvement whereas others need a scheduled visit to supervise a local geologist.

Our advice would be to use a Boama-Africa Chief Geologist to do a first phase geological report on your concession so that you at least have an experienced person reviewing the feasibility of your project. The money you’ll spend is a fraction of what you could potentially lose in trying to explore the wrong project.

Operations/Project management

Project Managers, Operations Managers, Process Engineers, Dredge Masters, Security Staff and all other staff can be discussed on a case-by-case basis. On bigger projects, the Project Manager will assemble his own team to get involved as required. Depending on the country (French-speaking) and availability, we often mix experienced with less experienced managers and the client’s own staff, especially in final recovery and export of product.

The fee depends on the individual scope of work according to the client’s needs. It is discussed on a case-by-case basis with clients in order to suit their project. Different clients have different needs with different leave schedule rotations (8 weeks, 10 weeks, 12 weeks), bonus systems, experience and skills levels, payment of medical insurance and evacuation plan support, travel fees and leave payment.
